Admiralty Arch
Ralph T. King & Associates are assisting Blair Architects to develop the proposals for converting the Grade I listed building, Admiralty Arch currently offices, into a 100 bed 5/6* hotel and private members club. The building will be extended below ground to accommodate leisure areas, pool and plant rooms. To achieve a BREEAM “rating of excellent” the building services will utilise the existing Whitehall district heating system, improve the insulation values of the existing fabric, where possible, and provide CHP for the summer domestic water and pool heating. Energy efficient lighting and photovoltaic systems are also incorporated.
Churchill Intercontinental Hotel
Ralph T. King & Associates were retained to undertake the refurbishment of this 525 bed, 5* hotel in London. The works comprised the phased upgrade of the guest rooms and public areas including all the new building services. The public areas were also refurbished. The works were undertaken whilst the hotel remained in operation.
Duke’s Hotel, St James’s
This prestigious 5* Hotel in St James comprising 72 guest rooms was totally refurbished and extended by the provision of a further 48 guest suites. The building services were replaced and upgraded by the inclusion of VRF air conditioning and upgrading all lighting and services to the guestrooms. To meet the health and safety requirements the kitchens and ventilation systems were also replaced.
